Starbuck's foster parents[1] are Caprican agro farmers who adopted Starbuck following the attack on Umbra in 7322.
In 7328, Starbuck's foster father initially reacted angrily to the news that Starbuck tried to secure Flight-Major Adama's sponsorship for the Academy, while his mother questioned if he was running away because of something they did.
Despite the disagreement, they still support their adopted son, who became a Warrior in 7335. Starbuck notes to Lieutenant Apollo that they weren't able to make it to the graduation ceremony as it was harvest season, and they were simply overworked (Battlestar Galactica: Starbuck 1).
They later die during a Cylon sneak attack on an agro settlement on Scorpia in 7346[2] (Battlestar Galactica: Starbuck 2).
