Kandi Trieste is a dice girl at the Astral Utopia casino.

In 7346, Starbuck woos Trieste and she becomes one of his many girlfriends.

Following the death of Starbuck's foster parents, he makes his way to Caprica on the Erin Dream. Ending up at the Astral Utopia, Trieste comes across him and accosts him for seeing Desire behind her back, and terminates their relationship. Before he has a chance to explain, he is about to be thrown out by security, which results in an altercation that ends with Apollo and Zac escorting him from the premises.

After Osiris and Diana fail to thwart Starbuck's explorations into what transpired on Umbra, Diana makes it a point to use genetic evidence (acquired during a meeting between himself and Osiris) to set up Starbuck after she kills Trieste with a laser pistol (Battlestar Galactica: Starbuck 1).

Starbuck is arrested and charged with Trieste's death after finding the planted evidence and her body aboard the Erin Dream (Battlestar Galactica: Starbuck 2), but later receives a pardon by President Adar (Battlestar Galactica: Starbuck 4).
