Baltar is the trusted advisor of President Adama leading into the betrayal of the Battle of Cimtar.

As part of his betrayal, he orders his own aide, Apollo, killed (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 2 #3 & #5).

In the time that follows, Zee fuses Baltar to Lucifer, becoming a hybridized cybernetic entity called Baltifer (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 2 #3).
