There are several craft of an unknown type that appear throughout the Re-imagined Series comics.

Prototype craft[edit]

A prototype craft.

An expensive prototype craft is being tested by the Colonial Fleet roughly one and a half years prior to the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.

The craft is larger than a Raptor, its cockpit located at the ship's forward section. The ship has a smooth look to it, with red pin-striping in a form similar to an Arabic number "2"; to its aft, it appears to have similar hull-ribbing that Galactica has.

This craft is used in an exercise against three Vipers, two of which are easily taken out, while a third (piloted by Kara Thrace) only has a weapons malfunction. When this craft makes a combat landing towards the port landing bay, Thrace accelerates her craft and rams into the ship, causing damage to both the craft and her Viper. The act also earns her scorn from Commander William Adama, who advises her to learn how to "play the game" (Battlestar Galactica: Season Zero 3).

Raptor craft[edit]

The differently designed Raptor opening fire on the security ship.

An FTL-capable Raptor of a different design than standard Colonial Military issue is operated by Darja Purat's group. With supplies seized from a Tauron fuel depot and a Gemenon, the craft is upgraded with missiles and cannons. After extricating Purat and his accomplice, Colonial Intelligence agent Christa Nolan, it jumps to the outermost moon of Sagittaron (Battlestar Galactica: Season Zero 3, 4).

Later, Kara Thrace and Karl Agathon use one of these craft to leave the Julian DiMarco's rebel base, only to be shot down some miles away. Thrace activates one of the bombs on board this Raptor to kill their pursuers (Battlestar Galactica: Season Zero 5, 6).
