The Bainstrom Space Station is an orbital facility that sat in geosychronous orbit around the planet Picon. Prior to the Cylon War, it served as the site of peace talks between Caprica and Sagittaron when the two colonies were at war. Ultimately, the talks failed and war was declared between the two planets. (Battlestar Galactica: Cylon War 3)
