In Surrender the Galactica!, the Imperious Leader appears as a holographic representation to Spectre, described as having "physical immensity" with "many-eyed, knobby-skinned" features and skin displaying "every possible shade of gray." He tasks Spectre with capturing Galactica and its fleet, demanding that Spectre "turn the Galactica into a floating derelict and bring its commander to your pedestal personally... in chains." Imperious Leader commands the "destruction of the life form known as man" when their trap at Cimtar is sprung (ComicsAnnihilation!).

Following word of escaped humans, Baltar is brought before Imperious Leader, who informs the traitor that he will be publicly executed (ComicsExodus!).

After the Fleet makes its way to Carillon, a Centurion reports the arrival of the humans, with Imperious Leader ordering the supreme star force stationed at Borallus to make haste to destroy the Fleet—a task they fail to perform (ComicsDeathtrap!).

The Imperious Leader is the supreme commander of the Cylon Empire.
