Duby is a prisoner at Sara Freeman's Tauron prison who aids the imprisoned Tom Zarek by getting him a notebook while he is in solitary confinement. With the notebook Duby provides, Zarek writes "The Revolution Within."

Duby later becomes well associated with Zarek and, with Benedict Mason, becomes one of his closest hands. As such, he is transferred to Luna Three, and helps Zarek's ascension to power there as well ^{(Comics: Battlestar Galactica: Zarek #3)}.
