Beano is killed by Scar during the battlestar's efforts to protect a vital mining operation from hit-and-run Raider attacks. While his craft was salvageable, Tucker "Duck" Clellan notes that his death is particularly gruesome, noting that it took Cally Henderson one hour to clean out Beano's remains from his Viper's cockpit ^{(TRS: "Scar")}.
