Cheryl Roslin was the younger sister of Laura Roslin.

Approximately two years prior to the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, Roslin was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. Also killed in the accident was her sister Sandra as well as their father.

The accident leaves Laura Roslin momentarily traumatized and unsure of her direction in life ^{(TRS: "Daybreak, Part I")}.
