Aelotol is a drug administered orally in pill-form. It is dispensed by the Sagittaron's public care clinic to people such as Karen Zarek, who suffer from the effects of nitrassium exposure.

Jerome Zarek is killed by Colonial Marines while attempting to illegally secure additional quantities of this drug from the Sagittaron City Pharmacy (Battlestar Galactica: Zarek 1).
