Kali's mate[1] is a Cylon who resisted the creation of the robotic successors to his own race (Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #5).

Cylons[edit]

Having created the machines and having convinced her government to support their production, Kali aimed to use the machines to conquer the galaxy in a quest to elevate the Cylons to godhood. However, both he and others rejected this path for he believed that conquest was not the Cylon way. This action lead to not only Kali's departure from the Cylon homeworld but also an uprising that lead to the reptilian Cylons' eradication and their machines assuming the mantle of "Cylons" (Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #1 & #5).

Misplaced Blame[edit]

Upon arranging her "rescue" from exile from an unknown planet, she reveals that while she is indeed a Cylon, it is her mate who created the robotic Cylons (Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #1, #4, #5.

In reality, she continues to view her mate as a "fool" for not realizing the power that her creations had in establishing the Cylons as rulers of the universe (Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #5).
