An embry drop is a military maneuver executed by a Raptor.
According to Karl Agathon, a proper embry drop involves temporary killing the engines, going into a hard descent and then reactivating the engines at full power, so as to avoid a crash.
Such a drop is attempted as Kara Thrace and Agathon were being fired upon by Darja Purat's Raptor-like craft above Sagittaron's outermost moon (Battlestar Galactica: Season Zero 4).
