After Starbuck and Apollo bring Xam to Dr. Salik, Salik discovers that the surge in the launch bay activated Xam's psionic abilities, which have grown due to the energy of the storm zone the Fleet enters to avoid the Cylons. Salik is also present when Xam uses his newly discovered skills to project an overwhelming force of Colonial battlestars, thus allowing the Fleet to escape unimpeded ((ComicsClassic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 2 #9)).

After entering a manufactured universe of Iblis' design, an injured Adama is remanded to Salik's care and is puzzled at Adama's high brain activity while being summarily unconscious ((ComicsClassic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 3 #1)). He is further dubious at Apollo's claims of being able to assist his father via the use of mental powers, despite its later success in allowing Adama to recover ((ComicsClassic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 3 #4)).

Salik remains Galactica's senior life-sciences officer a decade into her exodus, including the ongoing care of Xam ((ComicsBattlestar Galactica: Death of Apollo #1)) and in Apollo's recovery after his unsanctioned rescue from the super basestar ((ComicsBattlestar Galactica: Death of Apollo #4)).

Salik treats Commander Adama after his collapse on the bridge due to a Somnian attack. He works with Cassiopeia to assess Adama's condition, noting the unusual brain activity and that the Commander's cerebral functions are normal, but that a normally inactive section of the brain is showing activity ((ComicsPrison of Souls, Part 1)).[1]

Later, he is seen treating Starbuck and another warrior, and it is here that he is attacked by a possessed Dr. Wilker. He is left unconscious but alive ((ComicsPrison of Souls, Part 2)).[2]
