A temporally displaced Apollo leads members of the Colonial Resistance in their liberation of humans from Equellus.

The Colonial Resistance is an organization of survivors of the Cylon holocaust from the Twelve Colonies of Man of an alternate reality, themselves actively opposing the occupying forces of the Cylon Empire lead by Baltifer.

The last president of the Quorum of Twelve, Adama, musters a rag-tag groups survivors and their resources, headquartering at Q-Cache 7202, which they christen "Cache." Utilizing manual labor from all walks of life, including children, the resistance's fighters make use of guerrilla tactics to raid and acquire supplies from the Cylons, with the eventual lonely quest of retaking their homeworlds.

As a form of trophy, various former Colonial Warriors of the resistance appropriate armor components from Centurions, such as vambraces, helmets, gauntlets, and the like (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 2 #2).

This intensifies upon the arrival of a temporally displaced Apollo, who supports the efforts and drive of two top lieutenants in the resistance, Boomer and Serina (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 2 #3).

In the three months that follow, Apollo leads excursions to save various outlying settlements, including Equellus, from Doctor Zee's Cylon-handled harvesting efforts. These efforts culminate in the Battle of Cache, where Baltifer's baseship—outfitted with a temporal warp drive reverse-engineered from Starbuck's Temporal Viper—pursues a last battlestar that never natively existed, directed there by Starbuck himself (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 2 #4).

In the battle, the resistance efforts destroys Baltifer, assumes command of his basestar (adding new members to its ranks), and bolsters its battle strength by two capital ships, the basestar and the incongruous Galactica (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 2 #5).
