Ryden is a member of Ghost Squadron who, with Modeen and Goedken, disobey Commander Burkett's (and Alexander Chen's) orders and engage the Cylon forces above Aquaria during the Battle of Aquaria. This rash action results in his death, and in the deaths of Modeen and Goedken (Battlestar Galactica: Ghosts 2).
