Surrender the Galactica!

Following the return of Captain Apollo and others from the mission to Yevra, Lieutenant Jolly joins Lieutenant Boomer and Ensign Giles in the Officers' Lounge to discuss Apollo's despondent state after Commander Adama disbanded the search parties for Boxey. When Starbuck arrives, Jolly informs him that Apollo "won't even talk to us," explaining that he has been in this state since the search was discontinued. Along with Giles, Jolly mutters that "the commander can be a real hard case sometimes" in response to Adama's decision to prevent Apollo from continuing the search alone.

When a mysterious Cylon force attacks the Fleet, Jolly participates in the engagement as part of the responding squadrons. During the initial phase of the battle, when scanners detect a large force of ships approaching Galactica, Jolly speculates over the commline, "Could it be some kind of maverick Cylon group?" His question is quickly addressed by Boomer's characteristic cautious analysis.

During the major battle with Spectre's forces, Jolly demonstrates exceptional piloting skill. From the SuperViper, Starbuck observes Jolly's impressive performance and comments to Apollo, "Did you see Jolly zip through that trio? It looked like he knocked them off with one blow." Jolly's combat effectiveness is noted alongside other skilled pilots such as Boomer, Giles, and Greenbean during the intense engagement.

Jolly is also mentioned by Hera when she attempts to justify her actions to Starbuck, noting that she would have interfered with the plans of "anybody else. Boomer, Jolly—" to prevent them from undertaking dangerous solo missions.

Jolly leads Vipers against Lucifer's forces ^{(Comics: Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 3 #2)}.

Jolly leads the Vipers against Lucifer's forces before the Cylons signaled a cease fire, earlier ruminating that his friends were missing "all the fun" ^{(Comics: Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 3 #2)}. During this cease fire, he instructs the Warriors to analyze the Cylons for any weaknesses, not knowing when they may get a better chance ^{(Comics: Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 3 #3)}.

Later, in a dogfight with the Meclons, Jolly finds himself saved by a Cylon Raider ^{(Comics: Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 3 #4)}.

Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880

In an alternate take on the Battlestar Galactica story, Jolly is a former Warrior of the Colonial Empire during the Ovion Wars, serving alongside Flight-Lieutenant Starbuck at that time.

Marvel comics

Jolly informs Apollo on the pluton poisoning of their food stores following the destruction of the Colonies ^{(Comics: Exodus!)}.

Lieutenant Jolly is a Colonial Warrior aboard Galactica. During the inspection of food stuffs, he reports that pluton poisoning has affected the food taken by the Fleet ^{(Comics: Exodus!)}.

Commander Adama keeps Jolly and other Warriors—excluding Apollo, Starbuck, and Boomer—on reserve while commissioning volunteers to wear Warrior uniforms so as to provide the illusion of falling into the Alliance's trap. Once the aforementioned trio uncover the truth of Carillon, Jolly and the other Warriors spring Adama's trap on the surface, dispatching the force of Centurion laying in wait ^{(Comics: Deathtrap!)}.

Jolly becomes romantically involved with Sire Uri's accomplice, Medea ^{(Comics: Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair, The Last Hiding Place)}.
