Viper 1104 in the tube preparing for launch (TRS: "Miniseries").
1104NC disabled over Red Moon (TRS: "You Can't Go Home Again").

Viper 1104NC is a Viper Mk II flown by Lieutenants Pete "Joker" Hickey and William "Husker" Adama during the first Cylon War. During Operation Raptor Talon this Viper was badly damaged after a collision with a Raider Adama was pursuing into an ice planet's atmosphere (TRS: "Razor Flashbacks").

1104, with Pete "Joker" Hickey's nameplates, is flown by an unidentified pilot prior to Galactica's jump to Ragnar Anchorage, and is later flown by Lieutenant Kara "Starbuck" Thrace during the Battle of Ragnar Anchorage. 1104 is slightly damaged upon landing after the battle, having used the craft to recover Captain. Lee "Apollo" Adama's Viper in an unorthodox way (TRS: "Miniseries").

Thrace pilots 1104, again with Hickey's nameplates, while guiding Louanne "Kat" Katraine's first hands-on approach. It is then flown by Brendan "Hot Dog" Costanza during a later training flight with his fellow nuggets and Thrace near a red moon. Thrace's Viper is heavily damaged during the subsequent battle with eight Cylon Raiders. Having disabled out the last Raider pursuing him, Costanza ejects from 1104 during the battle (TRS: "You Can't Go Home Again").

Although heavily damaged, 1104 is recovered and repaired during the search and rescue operations for Thrace. It is likely the Viper being cobbled together out of parts from the other stricken birds, as Captain Adama pilots it to intercept Thrace's Raider (TRS: "You Can't Go Home Again", "Litmus").

After an emergency jump from Kobol, 1104 is among the Vipers scrambled to protect Galactica while Lieutenant Felix Gaeta computes the location of the missing Fleet (TRS: "Scattered").
