Osiris (0913) is an Orion Class Battlestar[1] in the Colonial Fleet during the First Cylon War. She carries a typical crew compliment of 150, not counting assigned Viper pilots.
Osiris is generally believed to have been destroyed in an earlier engagement, when in fact it is part of a Colonial "ghost fleet" hiding in Cylon held space, along with the battlestar Valkyrie, the heavy cruiser Loki, and other vessels. It is tasked with a combat jump to the ice planet Djerba, a former winter resort moon in Sector 12. When a Cylon basestar jumps in nearby, the ship demonstrates possible stealth characteristics that afford it a small window of opportunity to operate within enemy DRADIS range. The ship is eventually detected and engaged by Cylon Raiders and ship to ship missiles (Blood and Chrome).
Osiris takes heavy damage at the onset of the battle, which destroys her missile batteries. Commander Ozar makes the decision to ram the ship into the basestar and manually detonate the on-board nuclear warheads. Osiris is instantly destroyed with the loss of all hands.
