Viper 1244 (1244NC) is a Viper Mark II in operation during the SAR for Lieutenant Kara "Starbuck" Thrace following the Skirmish Over the Red Moon.

1244 is in hangar bay 1 after Captain Lee "Apollo" Adama lands to repair Viper 2220 due to dust from the red moon affecting its systems ^{(TRS: "You Can't Go Home Again")}.
