Carter Jameson is a member of the Colonial elite who is of high prominence.

Jameson is responsible for helping forge the armistice between the Cylons and the Colonials during the Cylon War, and is noted for his staunch advocacy of the ban against artificial intelligence.

Jameson meets Gaius Baltar prior to making his key-note speech at Caprica University years prior to the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. At the behest of D'Anna Biers, a producer of The Colonial Gang, Jameson and Baltar arrange for a live debate on the subject of artificial intelligence. However Jameson, thanks to his Cylon collaborating aide, is kidnapped before making this debate (Battlestar Galactica: Origins 3). It remains unknown what happened to Jameson.
