Raptor 305 was one of Galactica's remaining Raptors after the events of Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part I.
305 had to be cannibalized for parts for the two Raptors that participated in the SAR for Raptor 1 on Kobol (Fragged). It is not entirely clear why this was necessary, as Col. Saul Tigh explicitly states that Galactica has five raptors in good condition in "The Farm".
