Parrin is the Okaati's leader circa 7348, daughter of the Okaati's previous leader, Thetis.

Under Parrin, the Okaati continually scavenge and steal supplies needed for their fleet, leading to the genesis of the Comitat (Battlestar Galactica Classic #4).

Further, and unbeknownst to the denizens of the Fleet who enter the Empyrean Expanse in their flight away from the Cylons, Parrin strikes a deal with Baltar and the Cylons for tylium in exchange for delivering the Fleet to the Cylons (Battlestar Galactica Classic #4). Thus, when Captain Apollo's Blue Squadron engages Cylon Raiders escorting Parrin's Harvester, the erroneous assumption is that the Cylons were harassing them (Battlestar Galactica Classic #0).

After Adama assumes leadership of the Comitat, Thetis is brought to Galactica where she communicates to her daughter in the aftermath of the battle at Gehenna Prime. The captured Okaati are reunited with the remains of the Okaati fleet, and the Okaati are resettled on the former Kiernu homeworld under the aegis of the Comitat (Battlestar Galactica Classic #5).
