Volahd is the alleged deity of Acmarans (The Law of Volahd, Part I), but is actually an IL-series Cylon (The Law of Volahd, Part II).
According to Taron and his female aide, Volahd protects them from outside interference and is responsible for Salis being the "city of perfect peace".
Taron claims that the Colonials were permitted to land because Volahd wished this, yet later judges the Warriors evil, which is an automatic death sentence for anyone who is "evil".
Taron is the only Acmaran capable communicating with Volahd, who appears as a column of light-yellow energy (The Law of Volahd, Part I).
