Salik is the senior life-sciences officer on Galactica.
Following the Battle of Cimtar, he becomes responsible for Fleet-wide health concerns alongside his staff, including Cassiopeia.
After entering a manufactured universe of Iblis' design, an injured Adama is remanded to Salik's care and is puzzled at Adama's high brain activity while being summarily unconscious ((Comics: Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 3 #1)). He is further dubious at Apollo's claims of being able to assist his father via the use of mental powers, despite its later success in allowing Adama to recover ((Comics: Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 3 #4)).
