Galactica is the first battlestar commissioned during the First Cylon War.
General Information
Galactica is radiation-hardened, heavily armed and equally heavily armored in relation to other Colonial ships. It features twin Viper bays. It is also the first ship to be designed so that none of its systems are networked (Battlestar Galactica: Cylon War #4).
Combat History
Under the command of Admiral Benjamin Tanner, the ship engages the Cylons in the Battle at Maxiums-Delta.
In the final battle of the war, Galactica and the majority of the Colonial Fleet faces off against the Cylons at Hadrax, leading to the introduction of the planet-killing basestar. It is the last conflict of the war, as Tanner convinces Isak to sue for peace (Battlestar Galactica: Cylon War #4).
