Additional Information

The Rising Star is a medical transport and is the location of the first birth of a Colonial since the Cylon attack (33).

Ellen Tigh is placed aboard a MEDEVAC Raptor hailing from the vessel by a copy of the Humanoid Cylon known as John Cavil shortly before it departs from Picon during the the Cylon attack ("No Exit", "The Plan"). She slips in and out of consciousness aboard the ship for three weeks and is attended to (and cryptically mocked by) Cavil before William Adama locates her (Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down). She later procures a day-long stay there for her husband and herself, where she apparently meant for him to meet with agents of Tom Zarek (Colonial Day).

Galactica's chief medical officer, Dr. Cottle, is aboard the Rising Star at the time of the attempted assassination of Commander Adama (Scattered).

The ship's name is notably absent on the voting tally board on Galactica and the voting tally whiteboard on Colonial One (Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II).
