Majahual is a Colonial mining ship in the surviving refugee fleet.
It conducts mining operations for five weeks in an asteroid belt, during which time the Colonials face repeated harassment by Cylon Raiders. Majahual is protected from the Raiders by the battlestar Galactica. Despite breaking several drilling bits, Majahual is able to collect enough "strategic ore" to allow for the construction of at least two new squadrons of Viper fighters aboard the battlestar Pegasus (TRS: "Scar").
The ship is later noted on the master tally board used aboard Galactica during the presidential election held ten months after the fall of the Colonies (TRS: "Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II").
Note
The counterpart of Majahual in the Original Series is the Mineral Ship
