Vesta is a v-world gamer who plays primarily in New Cap City. After noticing that Tamara-A does not derez when shot, she promises to help Tamara "wake up" from v-world in return her help in stealing the avatar and in-game financial assets of Chiron, Vesta's New Cap City rival.
Tamara and Heracles do as they are asked, but by the time they come to Vesta to report their success, Vesta has realized that Tamara Adams died in the Lev bombing some time ago, and cannot "wake up" from v-world. Tamara proceeds to gun Vesta and her coterie of followers down, derezing and presumably permanently ejecting them from New Cap City (CAP: "There is Another Sky").
Notes
Vesta shares her name with the Roman virgin goddess of the hearth, home, and family.
