A tracking device is a piece of hardware meant to track persons or assets of interest for both, but not exclusively limited to, standard operations and espionage.

- Cylon transponder: device employed by Humanoid Cylons for identification purposes (TRS: "Miniseries", "Flesh and Bone" and "Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II")
