Nyby is a Colonial Warrior aboard Galactica.
He participates in the pitched battle to protect the Fleet during Galactica's capture by Cylons, having made it to their Viper. Following the initial launch deployment, Apollo warns them to watch their rear from Cylon attack ((Comics: Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #5)).

- While a Viper is seen exploding from Raider weapons fire in the same panel that Apollo issues his warning to Nyby, it is neither directly stated nor can it be inferred that this was Nyby's Viper, as Nyby is never mentioned again.
