Additional Information

A passenger liner in the Fleet, the Rising Star is the location of the first birth of a Colonial since the Cylon attack (33).

Ellen Tigh is unconscious aboard the ship for three weeks following the Cylon attack before William Adama locates her (Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down). She later procures a day-long stay there for her husband and herself, where she apparently meant for him to meet with agents of Tom Zarek (Colonial Day).

Galactica's chief medical officer, Dr. Cottle, is aboard the Rising Star at the time of the attempted assassination of Commander Adama (Scattered).

The ship's name is notably absent on the voting tally board on Galactica and the voting tally whiteboard on Colonial One (Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II).

Notes[edit]

  • A ship that looks like the Rising Star from the Original Series can be seen in shots of the Fleet beginning with the episode "Escape Velocity." While it is possible that it is meant to be the Rising Star, it is not identified as such. Another vessel of the same design appears in "Razor" as part of Pegasus's civilian fleet.
