Additional Information | |||
The Striker is a Colonial vessel which escapes the Fall of the Twelve Colonies with the battlestar Galactica. It is of the Celestra type. (TRS: "Miniseries")
It remains loyal to Commander William Adama during the short-lived schism between the military and civillian governments following the attempt on Adama's life by Cylon infiltrator Sharon "Boomer" Valerii. (TRS: "Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II")
The Striker is damaged in a collision with one of the fleet's refinery ships due to the incompetent oversight of recently promoted Captain George Birch, CAG for Galactica in Lee Adama's absence. Both ships escaped with minor damage. (TRS: "Home, Part I")
Notes[edit]
- There is no Striker listed on the Roslin/Baltar election board, however. In the image of Striker preparing to refuel before colliding with the refinery ship, the refinery is listed only as "Tanker", perhaps indicating that "Striker" is simply a designation as well, rather than a name. This could also mean the ship was destroyed sometime between Home, Part I and the election in Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II, though there is no indication of this in the show or population count.
