Vella is an oviner on the planet Equellus, and mother to Puppis.

In the alternate reality, the Cylons forcibly cull Equellus in search of subjects for Zee's experiments. Vella is separated from her son and is marked for execution by Red-Eye, the leader of the invasion.

Apollo leads members of the Colonial Resistance, saving them from their Cylon fates and aiding their escape to Cache, so that they may to aid in the fight against the Cylons (^{(Comics: Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 2 #4)}).
