Kovash is a crew member of an exploration shuttle sent to survey the planet Thar.

He is the first to notice that Captain Apollo is seemingly talking to himself. He and the other crew members conclude that Apollo has had a breakdown and report it to Galactica ^{(Comics: Look-In Magazine: Storyline 2)}.
