Denle Rel is a member of the Colonial resistance on the Colonial world of Maytoria.

He discovers that Boomer is wearing some sort of Cylon tracking device that has revealed the last hiding place for his beleagued people (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #2).

Rel sacrifices himself as a distraction during the Maytorian plan to commandeer a Cylon transport for everyone to escape the world. His body is lashed to the side of a Cylon tank by Centurions as an example of what happens to rebels (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #3).
