Merab is a tylium foreman who oversees Sela's operation on Cygnus.

Merab and Sela oversee the operation with an iron fist, arranging an "accident" to a miner who stole tylium from them, a fact later revealed to Baltar.

Merab picks up Sela and Baltar in a railcar during Baltar's first trip into the mine. Merab informs Sela that Temon prospected a rich vein of tylium, which later draws the attention of the Cylon Empire in the form of an invasion (^{(Comics: Battlestar Galactica Annual 2014)}).
