Additional Information

The Faru Sadin is a ship in the Fleet.

The Faru Sadin is successfully guided through a dangerously hot and otherwise-unnavigable star cluster cloud by way of a Raptor piloted by Kat on the last of five outbound jumps to a planet with desperately needed foodstuffs.

Kat, knowing that she had already received dangerous radiation exposure after trying unsuccessfully to find and escort the Carina, manages to find the Faru Sadin and return her to the safety of the Fleet. Kat's bravery saves the ship and its skeleton crew, but Kat later dies from radiation poisoning (The Passage).
