The H.M.S. Glutton O' Punishment[1] is the name of the alleged expensive, insured model sailing ship[2] that William Adama is seen working on throughout the series.
It first appears when Galen Tyrol appeals to Adama to overturn the tribunal's conviction of Socinus, due to Tyrol's failure to keep it in his own pants (TRS: "Litmus"). Following his recovery from having chest cracked open, the walnut-cracking Adama resumes work on the ship while Anastasia Dualla appeals to him the importance of bring the Fleet together following the schism between himself and Laura Roslin (TRS: "Home, Part I").
Kara "Starbuck" Thrace gifts Adama a statue of Aurora, Goddess of the Dawn to adorn the ship's prow (TRS: "Maelstrom"), but he gifts it back to her dead ass (TRS: "Six of One").
