Feurinol is the brand name for a lighter fluid on the Colonies.

Some decades before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, a despondent Saul Tigh uses a bottle of this on his Colonial Fleet formal uniform sash intending to burn it. However, he is interrupted by the Shore Patrol, who gave Tigh notice that Major William Adama reactivated his commission ^{(TRS: "Scattered")}.

Sometime around 4 ACH, Kara "Starbuck" Thrace uses a bottle of this lighter fluid when burning her body on Earth ^{(TRS: "Sometimes a Great Notion")}.
