Vireem is a Specialist serving on the battlestar Pegasus and later on the Galactica.
Much to Galen Tyrol's and Helo's discomfort, Vireem and and handful of other Pegasus crewmembers describe the gang rapes by the Pegasus crew of a captured copy of Number Six that called herself Gina Inviere. These rapes were apparently led and tacitly encouraged by the battlestar's "Cylon interrogator", Lieutanant Alastair Thorne.
Vireem indicates that Thorne is likely on his way to the cell where the Caprica copy of Sharon Valerii is held to sexually assault her as well. "Your little robot girl is in for quite a ride. Yee-haa!" says the officer, drunk on moonshine created by Tyrol's still, located on the hangar deck.
Helo appears ready to attack Vireem in anger when Tyrol stops him and persuades Helo to join him to stop Thorne (Pegasus).
In retaliation for Thorne's death, Specialists Vireem and Gage bind and begin beating the incarcerated Helo and Tyrol in the Pegasus brig until Colonel Fisk catches them in the act and dresses them down (Resurrection Ship, Part II).
After the destruction of the Pegasus, Vireem joins the crew of the Galactica.
Later, after the discovery of the devastated Earth, he joins Felix Gaeta's mutiny against Admiral Adama (The Oath).
Notes
- Vireem and Gage are described collectively as the "Sunshine Boys" by Helo, and as the "Yee-Haw Boys" by Ron Moore in the podcast.
