An unnamed Galactica crew member first appears in prominence during the operations leading up to, and including, the Battle for the Tylium Asteroid (TRS: "The Hand of God"). He is a CIC operative during the Battle of Kobol and the subsequent boarding of Galactica by Cylon forces (TRS: "Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part I", "Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II" and "Valley of Darkness"). He is present when William Adama assumes command following Sharon "Boomer" Valerii's botched assassination attempt (TRS: "The Farm").
He later helps Mei Firelli bring various cases of updated data modules to Felix Gaeta in Galactica's weapons control room (TRS: "Pegasus").
He is seen again in the background of the workshop area of the hangar deck, when Asha Janik is apprehended for sabotage (TRS: "Epiphanies").
Following the events of the Second Exodus, he is in the crew's mess while Felix Gaeta, now a pariah for his involvement with the Cylon Occupation Authority, is visited by Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (TRS: "Collaborators"). He is behind Louanne "Kat" Katraine while she talks to Enzo in a corridor (TRS: "The Passage").
He can be briefly seen behind Laura Roslin and Caprica-Six following the events of Gaeta's Mutiny (TRS: "Deadlock").
- The launch officer was portrayed by vocalist Paul Ouellette, a background player who was identified via computer-aided facial recognition. In a majority of his appearances, he is seen wearing the green battle-dress uniform, with one exception of the duty blue uniform in "The Hand of God."
