Stepchild is a nugget selected to fill out the ranks after a disastrous deck accident kills thirteen experienced pilots ^{(TRS: "Act of Contrition")}.

She flies with Lee Adama during a raid on a Cylon tylium-manufacturing base as part of Strike Force Two, and is killed during the operation ^{(TRS: "The Hand of God")}. She is among the dead pilots mentioned by Starbuck in Scar.

Notes

Many transcripts mistake Kat as the pilot who says "Chuckles bought it, he's going down." It is actually Stepchild who says this, and who in fact buys it herself just as she finishes the sentence.
