David is a leader of a Sagittaron nitrassium processing plant in Sagittaron City.
During the labor strike, Jerome Zarek approaches David with demands for a pay increase so that he can support his family, including his ill wife, Karen Zarek. While not able to secure a pay increase, Zarek is able to secure a life insurance policy from David, which is paid out after his death to his wife and only son, Tom Zarek (Battlestar Galactica: Zarek 1).
