Talk Wireless is a term for the genre of public-access wireless shows, including a range of "current affairs" and other programs, one of which is the political show "The Colonial Gang."
A Talk Wireless program broadcasts the fact that Gaius Baltar is to become the Quorum of Twelve representative for Caprica. Baltar himself takes a dim view to the medium, calling it an excuse for "low-brow rabble-rousing" (TRS: "Colonial Day"). Other large events broadcast throughout the Fleet include the presidential election and Baltar's trial.
Note[edit]
- The term is a parallel of talk radio.
- In Battlestar Galactica 4, Sharon Valerii notes that the antebellum Centurions communicate to each other via "talk wireless". However, her usage of the term in the comic corresponds more to "wireless" itself rather than the genre.
