Like the rest of the crew, Lanceman is involved with the failed effort to capture and obtain the Vipers and their pilots ^{(TOS: "Greetings From Earth")}.

He is eventually processed to the Prison Barge, but escapes with the rest of the Eastern Alliance prisoners back to the Alliance-controlled Lunar colonies ^{(TOS: "Baltar's Escape")}.
