Lt. S. "Flyboy" Irvine[1] is the callsign of a Viper pilot on Galactica. Under the command of Captain Lee "Apollo" Adama, and accompanied by Louanne "Kat" Katraine, Irvine protects Adama as he attempts to destroy a Cylon Heavy Raider (Scattered). Irvine proves he can be reckless, as well as jokes a lot in the cockpit, even in dire situations.
When Galactica is infiltrated by Cylon Centurions, Irvine is among the first to happen upon the interlopers as their group attempts to make their way from the hangar deck. He is killed by a Centurion in the ensuing panic (Valley of Darkness).
