Lanceman is an Eastern Alliance military officer on board Leiter's destroyer.

Like the rest of the crew, Lanceman is involved with the failed effort to capture and obtain the Vipers and their pilots ^{(TOS: "Greetings from Earth")}.

He is eventually processed to the Prison Barge, but escapes with the rest of the Eastern Alliance prisoners back to the Alliance-controlled Lunar colonies ^{(TOS: "Baltar's Escape")}.
