Cain
Artist Edu Menna's take on Cain in Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #6.

Following the Battle of Gamoray, Pegasus escapes via a lightspeed maneuver with Cain and his crew surviving the encounter, unbeknownst to Galactica.

Two sectares following Gamoray, he considers transferring command of Pegasus over to Iollas, his long-time friend of thirty yahrens and executive officer, as he misses his daughter deeply.

He abandons that idea following the transmission from the last known living Cylon woman, Kali, and leads a small team to the interior of the hollow planetoid (Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #1).

While separated from his security detail after landing on the planet, he speaks to Kali and encounters a man who pistol-whips him unconscious. It is after he regains consciousness that he is "convinced" to heed Kali's every word by this same entity (Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #1 & #5).

As such, Cain finds himself executing upon decisions that he would not normally make, including jailing his own daughter, Sheba, after she questions his actions (Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #5).

Following Sheba's escape from the brig, she makes her way to Pegasus's bridge finding that the battlestar has opened fire on the two Galacticas. Kali's control over Cain is broken when she shoots Sheba, dying in Cain's arms. In retaliation, Cain breaks Kali's neck, and orders all hands abandon Pegasus. With great anger and shame over what he he allowed to happen, Cain destroys the basestar that Iblis commands by ramming Pegasus into it—joining Sheba in death (Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #6).

Notes

Cain's appearance changes mid-way through Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica series, as Edu Menna completed the back-half of the six issue series from Johnny Desjardins.
