Wilkens was the captain of the Astral Queen, a prison transport that survived the Fall of the Twelve Colonies (Bastille Day).
According to Lee Adama, when the ship was transferred over to the prisoners, the Astral Queen's crew were relocated. This presumably includes Captain Wilkens, who was apparently succeeded by former prisoner Tom Zarek.
Notes
- His comment, "I'm a bus driver, not a warden," is a reference to Dr. McCoy from the original Star Trek.
