Giana is a young woman who, after winning a lottery drawing, was rescued from Caprica by Boomer and Helo.

Her husband served in the Colonial Fleet near Gemenon. He is presumed dead (Miniseries).

Giana is played by Lymari Nadal, a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico and resident of San Juan (Source: IMDB)
According to the DVD commentary for the Miniseries and information from IMDB, she is the third real-life wife of actor Edward James Olmos.
